St. Mary’s College Mayenze Offers 50% Half bursary For Best Performing & Talented Students, Registration In Progress for Term 3

St. Mary’s College Mayenze has introduced a new fee-support programme designed to give talented, hardworking and financially disadvantaged Ugandan students a better chance of accessing quality secondary education.

Under the initiative, eligible students with outstanding abilities in academics, sports and other areas of talent will receive up to a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees, easing the financial burden on families struggling to meet education costs.

The school is also extending support to high-performing pupils completing primary education. Learners who sit the Primary Leaving Examinations and obtain aggregates ranging from 4 to 14 will be considered for bursary opportunities when seeking admission to the college.

Parents have also been given an opportunity to benefit from the programme through a 2 percent fee discount. The reduction will apply to parents who clear their children’s school fees within the first two weeks of a new academic term.
Students who excel academically will receive additional recognition, with learners attaining seven or more distinctions eligible for either a UGX 50,000 cash prize or partial sponsorship towards their tuition fees.

The programme further provides targeted assistance to learners who have lost a parent. Students who have lost their fathers will qualify for a 50 percent reduction in fees, while those whose mothers have died will receive a 25 percent fee reduction.
Beyond reducing the cost of education, St. Mary’s College Mayenze says it is committed to developing students in a holistic manner by combining academic learning with spiritual and moral development through daily prayers, Holy Mass and Scripture Union fellowships.

The school says the initiative is part of its broader effort to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent promising young Ugandans from pursuing their education, while preparing them to become disciplined, responsible and capable citizens.
