“Paranga women have arrived!” they declared. “We are proud of you, Eric, our MP forever,” the ecstatic women sang in a welcome song that emphatically pointed out their appreciation for the benefits of voting wisely that they have received three months after the members of parliament took office.
Acknowledging surprise at the speedy fulfilment of some key promises in Eric Dramviku’ s manifesto, the dominant crowd of women gathered at Aii-vu sub county headquarters reiterated solid support for the Terego West Constituency MP.
This was on Thursday, during an event organized to confirm the acquisition of the three ambulances – one each for the sub counties of Bileafe, Katrini and AII-vu.
Similar panorama played out at the headquarters of Katrini, Bileafe and Leju town council.
The medical emergency vehicles are meant to alleviate the plight of the constituents, especially those who are ill and the expectant mothers to access healthcare.
As the sirens reverberated into the atmosphere, the women danced, clapped and rolled on the ground to express their joy.

“This feels like the international women’s day,” said Sarah Alezuyo, the Aii-vu sub county chief. “when you support women, that support also impacts positively on men,” she added.
Alezuyo called on the people to take the message for MP Dramviku seriously and use it to change the fortune of their families.
Similar message of support was echoed by Lillian Anguparu, the sub county chief of Katrini who acknowledged that there was a lot of work left to be done to achieve the economic transformation agenda of the government.
Anguparu said the government has invested billions of shillings in each sub county through the parish development model, the Youth livelihood program and the women entrepreneurship program among others but the desired impact is still way off expectations and that the MP’s efforts complement that development goal.
Evidence from the impromptu accountability indicates that the groups have grown their capital to between sh1m to sh4m through savings, interest charged on loans, fines for late attendance of meetings and social welfare collections.
The official launch of the ambulances and the village savings and loan associations will be done on September 28, 2026.
The Pearl Bank (Formerly Post bank) will provide financial literacy and crate Wendi wallet accounts for the Savings groups at 12.5% interest per annum.
Dramviku said he is well aware of the dire living condition of the women in his constituency that is why instead of taking time off to reveal in enjoying what money he has received from the virtue of being an MP, it is only logical that he shares with the women who contributed immensely to get him elected.
“At this material moment, I could have decided to buy a posh car, take my children to expensive schools and enjoy with my family. But I know that our roads are in bad state yet you must access health services, your children must also go to school,” he explained.

The MP appreciated the government for the poverty eradication programs but expressed dismay at especially the PDM saying that much as Terego district is large and populous, it receives less funds than Maracha and Yumbe districts because those districts have more parishes than Terego.
He blamed this on poor leadership of past MPs and those managing the district and called for reforms to increase the number of the parishes so that investments through the PDM can cause real change in Terego.
