Shock has gripped Nansana in Wakiso District after a landlady and two of her tenants died in a house fire in the early hours of Monday.

The tragic incident happened at around 1 a.m. on September 28, 2026, in Nansana West 1F Village, Nansana Municipality.

The deceased have been identified as Nanyombi Violet, the landlady, together with her tenants Namulondo Annet and Bulali Isabili.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala said police have registered the incident as a suspected case of suicide and murder.

According to police, the fire allegedly started in Nanyombi’s room after she reportedly pushed her daughter outside the house.
