Entebbe Woman Narrates Heartbreaking Story of Sending Boyfriend Money From Saudi Arabia to Build Their House, Only to Discover He Had Married Another Woman

My name is Mariam, and I come from Entebbe. For a long time, I was convinced that I had found a man who genuinely loved me and was ready to build a future with me. I was willing to work hard, sacrifice my happiness and save as much as possible because I wanted us to have a comfortable home where we could live together.

When an opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia came my way, I saw it as a chance to transform our lives. Although I knew that staying far away from my family and loved ones would be difficult, I accepted the challenge because I believed the sacrifices I was making would eventually benefit both me and the man I loved.

Before travelling abroad, my boyfriend and I sat down and discussed our plans. We agreed that I would work in Saudi Arabia, save money and regularly send it to him so he could manage the construction of our house in Uganda. I looked forward to the day I would return home and finally enjoy the beautiful house we had planned to build together.

I trusted him with all my heart. Every time I received my salary, I would first put aside money for our house before sending it to him. I believed that every amount I contributed was helping us get closer to owning our dream home and creating a better future for ourselves.

There were moments when I denied myself things I wanted because I was determined to save more money for the construction project. While other people spent their earnings enjoying life, I remained focused on my goal, reminding myself that every sacrifice was worthwhile because I was working towards a future with the man I loved.

Whenever I called my boyfriend, I would ask him about the progress of the house. He always gave me updates and explanations that made me believe everything was going according to plan. Since I had no reason to doubt him, I continued sending money, convinced that he was faithfully handling the responsibility I had entrusted to him.

I frequently imagined what our future home would look like, from the bedrooms and kitchen to the compound where we would spend time together. Whenever I became exhausted from work or felt lonely in a foreign country, those thoughts encouraged me to keep going because I believed that my struggles would eventually lead to happiness when I returned to Uganda.

For several years, I continued working abroad, believing that my boyfriend was protecting the dream we had shared. I never suspected that the money I was sending him might be used for something other than the construction of our house. In my mind, we were still working towards the same future, and I had no reason to imagine that he would betray my trust.

When I finally started preparing to return to Uganda, I was extremely happy. After spending so much time away from home, I looked forward to seeing the progress of our construction project and starting a new chapter with the man I believed would eventually become my husband.
However, everything changed when I returned home.

I soon discovered a devastating truth that left me heartbroken. The man I had trusted with my savings had allegedly taken the money I sent for our house project and used it to marry another woman. The discovery shattered the future I had spent years working towards and left me struggling to understand how everything had gone wrong.

I could barely believe what I had discovered. I had spent years working in Saudi Arabia, enduring loneliness and giving up many things because I believed I was helping to build a home for the two of us. Instead, I was left facing the painful reality that the man I trusted had made a completely different decision using the money I had worked so hard to earn.

I felt deeply betrayed, ashamed and emotionally broken. Thinking about the countless months I had spent working and saving made the experience even more painful. I kept asking myself how someone who had promised to share a future with me could turn around and use my sacrifices in a way I had never expected.

Accepting the truth took a long time because I had invested so much of myself in that relationship. I felt that I had lost not only the future I had imagined with him but also the trust I had placed in a man I believed would never deliberately put me through such heartbreak. During that painful period, I heard about. To read more, tap here
