Our relationship took another turn when she met a wealthy businessman who could easily afford expensive gifts, fashionable clothes, luxurious holidays and the kind of lifestyle many people admire. I could not match his financial ability, and I began to feel that my girlfriend was gradually falling for his wealth instead of valuing the love we had developed over time.
Despite my efforts to keep our relationship alive, she eventually told me that she wanted to leave. She decided to pursue a relationship with the wealthy man, leaving me emotionally shattered. I had always imagined spending my life with her and raising a family together, so her decision to walk away while I was still struggling financially caused me tremendous pain.
For some time, I struggled to accept what had happened. I repeatedly asked myself why the woman I loved could not wait for me to establish myself financially. Eventually, I realised that I could not allow the breakup to stand in the way of my future. I decided to stop dwelling on the relationship and instead channel my energy into pursuing my dreams and finding ways to improve my financial position.
I explored different small business opportunities, faced disappointments and continued searching for ways to become successful. Some of my ventures did not work out as expected, while others generated small profits that kept me motivated.
Although the journey was challenging, I refused to give up because I wanted to improve my life and demonstrate to myself that my humble beginnings would not determine how far I could go.
