Brian, a man from Uganda, shared his heartbreak in a recent interview after his wife, who had gone to Qatar for a job, ended their marriage following an unexpected affair with an Arab man.
Speaking about his struggles, Brian explained that about a year ago, he lost his job, which plunged his family into financial difficulties. He revealed that, due to their situation, they had even gone without food for two consecutive days.
Brian recounted that his wife, in an attempt to help the family, decided to take a job in Qatar after a friend of hers promised her lucrative earnings. Although Brian expressed his concerns about the safety of women in Arab countries and the challenges of being a Christian there, he understood the financial burden they were facing and reluctantly supported her decision. Brian mentioned that, with the help of loans from friends and family, his wife set off to Qatar.
Once in Qatar, Brian’s wife quickly secured a job, and after a month, she sent him money to help pay off some of the debts they had accumulated. He recalled that they would talk almost every day, and she would reassure him how much she missed him. Brian said he felt grateful that his wife’s sacrifice was pulling their family out of poverty, even though he missed her deeply.
However, as time went on, Brian began to notice changes in his wife’s behavior. He explained that she stopped calling or texting regularly and sometimes went for a week without reaching out.
According to Brian, the situation worsened when he saw a post on her social media featuring an intimate photo of his wife with an Arab man. The caption read, “My love.”
When Brian tried to call her to ask about the photo, his wife did not pick up. He revealed that things took a further turn when his wife sent him a WhatsApp message, informing him that she would never return home because she was planning to marry the Arab man. Brian described feeling utterly shattered by this news, stating that he never imagined his wife would betray him and their children.
