A man from Kakamega County, Wellington, has revealed that his friend Abiud has remained unemployed and frustrated nearly twenty years after completing his education.
Wellington said he recently ran into Abiud in Kisumu and was shocked by his frail and confused appearance. He added that he and Abiud attended the same schools and college in Kakamega County and are of the same age.
According to Wellington, he asked Abiud what he did for a living, only to be told that he had never found a job since graduating in 1999. He admitted that while he initially found the claim hard to believe, Abiud’s body language and demeanor made it clear that he was telling the truth.
Wellington stated that while he has since established a successful business in Kisumu and is married, Abiud continues to struggle and remains uncertain about how he will provide for himself in the coming days. He described his friend’s situation as deeply frustrating and disheartening.
