Peter, a businessman from Mbarara, says he spent several years working hard to grow his business, believing that patience and continued effort would eventually lead to success.

However, despite his determination, the business did not perform as he had expected.According to Peter, his business was recording losses almost every month. He would purchase stock, pay his workers, settle bills and meet other operating costs, but by the end of the month, there was hardly any money left from the business.

At first, Peter believed that the main challenge was having too few customers. He says he responded by reducing prices on some products and adding new items to his business, hoping the changes would attract more customers and increase sales.

Despite those efforts, the situation remained difficult. Peter says some months became even more challenging than others, forcing him to start using his personal savings to cover expenses and keep the business operating.

As he continued putting his own money into the business, Peter says his worries increased. He had already invested heavily and did not want to abandon the business, but continuing to make losses month after month was becoming increasingly difficult.

Peter recalls spending many nights going through his financial records and calculating his expenses, trying to understand where the money was disappearing.

He knew there was a serious problem somewhere, but he could not determine exactly what was preventing the business from performing well.

He says he tried several approaches, including changing suppliers and looking for different ways to attract customers. Peter also sought advice from people with business experience, but his financial difficulties continued despite the different efforts he made.

Eventually, Peter says the situation became so frustrating that he nearly decided to close the business altogether. He felt that he had tried almost everything within his reach, yet the business continued struggling and he could not see a clear way forward.
