Peter Kirunda from Jinja, Uganda, said that about a year ago he went through an experience that shook his entire community, something he never thought could happen. He explained that it all started with betrayal, the kind that cuts deep into the soul.
Peter said he had worked for Kasozi, a close friend of his, for almost five years. They had grown up together in Jinja, gone to school together, and trusted each other like brothers.
Kasozi ran a successful transportation business, and when he asked Peter to join him as a business partner, Peter thought his life had finally taken a turn for the better. However, he added that he did not know the partnership would turn into a nightmare.
Peter mentioned that at first, everything went smoothly. They made good money, and the business was growing. They even expanded to Kampala, and it felt like the sky was the limit. But he said he soon noticed small changes in Kasozi.
He became distant, less communicative, and often held secret meetings with clients without informing him. Peter admitted that he did not want to jump to conclusions, but deep down, he knew something wasn’t right.
He revealed that one day he overheard Kasozi talking to one of their suppliers on the phone. Kasozi was planning to take over the business, cut Peter out entirely, and leave him with nothing.
