For a long time, my husband and I appeared to be a happy couple to everyone around us, but things inside our home were completely different.

Our problems did not begin with one major incident. Instead, they started with small disagreements that gradually turned into bigger issues. We argued about money, family matters, household responsibilities and even simple things that should never have resulted in serious conflict.
As the arguments became more frequent, we also stopped communicating properly. Whenever my husband tried to explain his side, I felt that he was blaming me, while he felt that I was attacking him whenever I tried to explain my feelings.
There were days when we could remain in the same house for hours without speaking to each other. At times, the silence felt even more painful than the arguments because I could sense that the distance between us was becoming deeper.
I still loved my husband, but I was becoming emotionally exhausted. I started asking myself whether love alone could keep a marriage together when two people could no longer find peace while living with each other.
At one point, I began seriously thinking about leaving the marriage. I did not want our relationship to end, but I had reached a stage where I no longer knew what to do to stop the constant fighting and restore peace in our home.
I spoke to people close to me because I hoped someone would help me find a solution. Some encouraged us to communicate more, while others simply advised me to remain patient. We tried several times to settle our differences, but the peace never seemed to last for long.
